Catalyst Coaching
Because great schools start with teachers and leaders who never stop learning.
Growth begins with reflection, curiosity, and the courage to get better, not because someone demands it, but because it matters. Catalyst Coaching creates the structure and partnership that make that growth sustainable. Through intentional goal-setting, observation, and feedback, the process turns insight into action and builds shared language across classrooms and teams.
From strengthening daily teaching practice to aligning leadership teams and culture, Catalyst Coaching helps schools connect individual growth to collective impact, creating communities where learning, leadership, and improvement are part of everyday life.

Teachers
Coaching for teachers is rooted in the belief that great teaching doesn’t come from evaluation, but from reflection, feedback, and focused practice. Through classroom-based cycles, Catalyst helps teachers refine what they already do well and build consistency across planning, instruction, and assessment. The process is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in evidence of student learning, helping teachers see the real impact of their choices and grow with purpose.
Targeted towards: Teachers of all experience levels.
1. Instructional Coaching Cycles: Short, targeted cycles that focus on one specific goal at a time. Classroom-focused coaching for teachers that links lesson planning, delivery, and reflection. Sessions can include pre-briefs, observation (live or video), and debriefs that focus on one or two high-leverage moves at a time. No overwhelm, just steady growth.
Lasting impact: a personalized growth goal, observation feedback, and practical strategies that lead to visible improvement in student learning.
2. Planning Practices: Support for teachers and teams to unpack curriculum standards and turn them into clear, teachable units. This includes aligning objectives, success criteria, and learning experiences so teachers know what they’re teaching, why they’re teaching it, and how students will show learning. This ensures clarity about what success looks like before instruction even begins.
Lasting impact: a unit or lesson “blueprint” they can reuse, plus a repeatable planning process.
3. Student Data Conversations: Coaching that helps teachers and leaders actually use assessment data (MAP, internal, diagnostic) to make decisions about instruction, grouping, and intervention. Guided analysis of assessment data to move beyond numbers and identify patterns, strengths, and next steps.
Lasting impact: a simple data discussion protocol and agreed next steps for a class or team.
4. Authentic Assessment: Helps teachers design assessments that truly capture learning. This involves aligning curriculum objectives, classroom activities, and performance tasks so that what students do actually reflects what they’re meant to learn. This is where we fix the “we taught it but they didn’t show it” gap. Teachers walk away with assessments that match what they taught and rubrics or success criteria that make learning visible.
Lasting impact: one or more revised assessment tasks + criteria/rubric aligned to objectives.
"Kyle helped me rediscover my passion for my job as a School Counselor! He exemplifies how a school can be run with the needs of students, teachers, families, and the community at the forefront. Kyle knows how to empower teams in a way I hadn't experienced before. I loved going to work every day, knowing he valued my ideas and genuinely cared. This partnership approach, rather than a micromanagement style, encouraged our team to think outside the box and challenge us to improve the lives of the students and their families. ”
- Amanda Gasbarro, Counselor, St Thomas Aquinas High School, USA
"Kyle took his time to get to know each detail of my course so that he could help me grow in my pedagogical approach and become the teacher I am today. I have yet to find that kind of support since. Kyle’s approach to assessment changed the way I see student success and has helped me build a growth mindset for myself and my students. Much of what I learned by working with Kyle has remained with me and informs my practice as a teacher years after our time together.”
- Jamie Norgaard, International School of Dusseldorf, Germany
"Kyle has been an exceptional mentor. His belief in my potential gave me the confidence to serve as a Department Head. With his guidance, I refined my skills in curriculum design, assessment, and data-driven instruction, and gained confidence as an educator and leader. Kyle brings out the best in people. Any institution would be fortunate to benefit from his leadership and expertise.”

"Kyle demonstrated exceptional skill in developing leadership capacity within RAS. He built strong middle and senior leadership teams from within the existing teaching staff, guiding individuals with little prior leadership experience to become confident and capable leaders. Through individualized coaching for teachers at all levels, and mentoring leadership team members to become effective instructional coaches themselves, Kyle fostered a culture of growth and reflection across the school.
- James Perriam, DPC at RISR Bangkok
"Working with Kyle has made me a better leader. His deep knowledge of policy, thoughtful decision-making, and attention to detail set a clear example of effective leadership. More importantly, his genuine care for the community and staff creates an environment where people feel valued and supported. Bringing Mr. Kyle into any school should be seen as an opportunity for collaboration, growth, and shared understanding”
- Matthew Tate, HS Principal at Raffles American School, Bangkok
